KCE offers hands-on learning!
Kireburns Continuing Education (KCE) offers small-group, hands-on workshops designed to enhance clinical skills and build provider confidence. With a low instructor-to-student ratio, participants receive individualized guidance, hands-on support, and opportunities to ask questions and refine clinical techniques in a supportive learning environment. These workshops focus on improving clinical proficiency, strengthening practical skills, and increasing confidence in patient care. Continuing education credits are awarded, and courses are approved by the Maine Board of Dental Practice.

Kireburns Continuing Education (KCE) offers on-demand online courses designed to provide dental professionals with flexible, convenient access to high-quality continuing education. Participants can complete courses at their own pace, on their own schedule, and from the comfort of their home or office. Each course includes educational materials and recorded presentations that support evidence-based learning and practical application in real-world dental settings. Upon completion of the required course activities, participants will receive a continuing education certificate.
Licensing Courses
Maine Board of Dental Practice Approved!
Beginning in 2027, Kireburns Continuing Education (KCE) will offer two licensing courses for Maine dental hygienists: Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. Both courses are approved by the Maine Board of Dental Practice and are designed to provide the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to safely administer these services. Upon successful completion of the applicable course, participants may apply to the Maine Board of Dental Practice for the corresponding authority.

Online!
Kireburns Continuing Education (KCE) offers live, synchronous webinars on designated dates and times, providing a convenient way for dental professionals to participate in continuing education from any location. These webinars combine the flexibility of online learning with the interactive experience of live instruction, allowing participants to ask questions and engage with the instructor in real time. KCE offers its own live webinars and partners with other organizations to deliver educational presentations. Continuing education credits are awarded unless otherwise specified.
CPR Courses
American Heart Association, BLS or Heartsaver
Kireburns Continuing Education (KCE) offers CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) courses for dental professionals and Heartsaver CPR for daycare providers. Led by Katie Kireburns, a certified CPR instructor, these courses help participants develop and maintain the skills needed to respond to medical emergencies. Dental professionals are required to maintain current CPR certification and renew it every two years to meet licensing requirements.
